As Simple As A Click

We had children’s ministry Saturday morning and it was my turn to tell a story. We started off with singing another new song – He is God, and then they wanted to sing our old favourite – Jumping Up and Down, which I taught them last week. Then I read about how Jesus fed all the people with 5 loaves and 2 fish and how much there was left over. I wanted to teach them about how God cares for all of our needs so our memory verse was I Peter 5:7 – Cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you. It was so fun to look at the children individually when they were saying the words and to encourage them to learn the verse. They were trying so hard and had huge smiles on their faces when they got it. Then it was games time which was led by Jeremiah. I decided to take some pictures and realized very quickly that having a camera is a great way to connect with them. So many of the children wanted to have their picture taken and then were so excited to see the results. Again, it was something so simple, but I think it was a way to show these children that they are valued and important and loved.
